+8013 - F.U.S.E. “Substance Abuse”

Substance Abuse was Hawtin’s follow-up to his influential “F.U.” acid track.  A throbbing bassline, pulsating percussion and Hawtin’s trademark hypnotic TB303 fueled acid intensity.  The F.U.S.E. project became an important testing ground for Hawtin as he balanced early analog gear and newly released digital instruments.  The Dave Smith designed Korg Wavestation A/D would become an important tool for all of Hawtin’s recordings.
